Our original content

Psych AI's lessons, stories, quizzes, animations, illustrations, app design and code are original work created for Psych AI and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957. You may use them for your own personal learning. Please don't copy, record, scrape, republish, resell or use them to train AI models without written permission.

How we use sources

We read textbooks, research papers and guidance from reputable organisations, then write our own plain-language summaries. We don't reproduce books, articles or fact sheets. Short quotations, where used, are brief, credited and used for teaching, review or criticism as allowed under Section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957. Every chapter lists its sources so you can read the originals.

Open resources we build on

  • OpenStax, Psychology 2e: used as background reading; licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
  • Noba Project modules: used as background reading under their open licences.
  • Fonts: Bricolage Grotesque, Figtree and IBM Plex Mono, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • Screening questionnaires (such as PHQ-9, GAD-7 and WHO-5) are free-to-use public tools, credited to their authors in the app.

Names and trademarks

Names of universities, researchers, journals and organisations appear only to credit sources or describe history. They don't imply any partnership or endorsement. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Apple, iPhone and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc.
