We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

• Account details: your name and email address.
• Your password: stored only as a secure one-way hash; we can't read it.
• Learning progress: chapters read, XP, streaks, quiz results and settings, so your progress follows you.
• Subscription records: plan, dates and payment reference IDs from Razorpay or Google Play. We never receive your card, bank or UPI details.
• Messages you send us through email or the contact form.
• Basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider for security (such as IP address and browser type).

Self-check answers

Your answers to self-check questionnaires stay on your device and are not sent to our servers.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal data.
• We don't show ads or use advertising or tracking cookies.
• We don't use your data to train AI models.

Why we use your data

To provide your account and lessons, sync your progress, process subscriptions and refunds, reply to you, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We rely on your consent and on what's needed to provide the service you asked for.

Who we share it with

• Hostinger (web hosting, servers in India).
• Razorpay (web payments) and Google Play (Android payments), under their own privacy policies.
• Authorities, only when required by law.

How long we keep it

Your account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your name, email and progress from our servers straight away. Deactivated accounts are deleted after 30 days unless you log back in. Payment records may be kept as required by tax law.

Your rights

You can access and download your data (My account → Download my data), correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right or raise a concern, email support@psychai.online. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, rate limits on logins, and protected server folders. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

Psych AI is meant for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 should use it with a parent's or guardian's consent.

Changes

We'll post updates here and notify you in the app if changes are significant.
